Last week at C:dags, we had the pleasure of facilitating an exciting design workshop for a group of approximately 20 teachers.  Some were already familiar with the design process, and some were learning about it for the first time.  As we know the best way to learn is by doing, we engaged them in a 90 minute design challenge focused on a real world design prompt.  The challenge was to design a custom eating utensil for a partner that reflected their unique eating habits, style and personality.  We were excited to see the teachers rise to the occasion and come up with some truly innovative responses based on their understanding of their “clients.”  This was followed with a discussion about the opportunities for bringing design into classrooms in a more strategic way this semester. We all had a great time and are looking forward to the next spring workshop coming soon!
